WASABIT started in 2016 as a specialized agency for hiring web engineers. Since 2018, we have grown into a talent acquisition and HR-as-a-service provider, supporting companies of all sizes—from startups to enterprises.

Based in Shibuya, Tokyo, our team extends across Japan, Spain, Germany, and the Philippines.

We provide interim remote recruiting and long-term talent acquisition, delivering cost-effective, high-quality solutions focused on direct sourcing and minimizing recruitment risks.

The Position

This position plays a vital role in supporting our clients' recruitment efforts by identifying, engaging, assessing, and presenting top-tier talent. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates

  • Proactively source candidates using various methods such as LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and networks to build strong talent pipelines

  • Attract and identify suitable candidates for diverse roles and evaluate their fit through online interviews

  • Guide candidates and clients through every stage of the recruitment process to ensure a positive experience

  • Coordinate interviews and provide timely feedback to both clients and candidates

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and reports of all recruitment activities

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with founders, CEOs, hiring managers, and HR partners to understand hiring needs, develop candidate profiles, and identify target sourcing channels

  • Provide consultative services, including regular reporting and strategic development of sourcing plans

Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Contract

Minimum part-time hours: 20 hours per week, working at least 4 days weekly.
Work Location: We offer 100% remote work, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere. However, we also encourage occasional visits to client sites to deepen your understanding of their needs and build stronger relationships.

Job requirements

Required Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of recruitment experience, either in an internal HR role or at a recruitment agency

  • Track Record: Proven success in making at least 10+ successful placements across various roles or functions

  • Language Proficiency: Native or business-level fluency in both Japanese and English, with strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills

  • Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders

  • Adaptability: Comfortable adjusting to changing priorities, candidate availability, and evolving recruitment strategies

  • Self-Motivation: Able to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision

  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • Technological Proficiency: Confident using digital tools for remote interviews and recruitment-related activities

  • Employment Law Knowledge: Understanding of relevant labor laws and hiring regulations to ensure compliance throughout the recruitment process
